Push It Real Good! Friday, January 14

Route: The usual hospital loop with a twist- instead of just going by Dolores Park on 18th Street, went up Guerrero to 20th Street and went to the top of the park and coasted down from there. Same assed hospital loop.

Average heart rate: 154 beats per minute
Average pace: 11:03 minutes per mile
Time in heart rate zone: 18 seconds (what the fuck?)
Time above zone: 5:17 minutes
Time below zone: 23:19 minutes
Best pace: 7:53 minutes per mile

This is what I don't really get. I have been totally pushing myself and still why is it towards the end, the heart rate goes down. I'm wondering if I am really working out at all. Am I fucking abnormal? Am I doing something wrong? Am I really burning fat? How can I still be in my temo zones when I'm supposed to be in anaerobic zones? Am I really supposed to go all out until I hurl?

Sometimes I wonder if I really am doing speed work right.
