Damn It's Warm Down Here- Monday, January 17
I will admit, I'm not too big on running in the afternoon. Yet, I didn's sleep that much last night since I was up watching the Chapelle Show (very fucking funny), a Project Runway marathon and parts of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. I woke up around noon and did a run around the neighborhood. Since it was a tad warm, felt a little sluggish but here goes.
Stats:
Total time: 32:49.35 minutes
Total milage: 2.60 miles
Average heart rate: 149 beats per minute
Average pace: 12:37 minutes per mile
Time in zone: 23:33 minutes
Time above zone: 2:15 minutes
Time below zone: 5:36 minutes
Best pace: 10:28 minutes per mile
What I did notice during my runs is that in a lot of the older parts of where I grew up, there were no sidewalks, especially near the stand alone parts so there were some parts of the run where I was on the road. I puttered around Carriage Park, the place where one of my elementary school friends used to live as well as my elementary school crush, a half Vietnamese, half Czec-American guy. Sometimes I do think about him from time to time and wondering if his Vietnamese mom introduced him to the joys of pho, bahn mi (Vietnamese sandwhiches), bun (Vietnamese noodle salad) and industrial strength Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk....beats a Starbucks latte hands down!
